Today's Mission: Declutter your pantry

The pantry is going to be very similar to the fridge/freezer. If you have a large enough chunk of time, do the entire thing at once. If you don't, do it shelf by shelf in smaller time increments throughout the day!

Get rid of all expired food and food you just.don't.eat.

If it's unopened, set aside to donate to a local food pantry. If you haven't eaten it yet, you probably never will...and wouldn't you feel better about someone else eating it who needs it instead of letting it accidentally expire on your shelf?

I know many people store small appliances in their pantry - so if that's you, take a good hard look at those. If you haven't used it in the last 90 days, strongly consider donating it.

Cookbooks? Ask yourself if you truly use them. If you use them fully all the time, great! If you use them occasionally or just keep them to refer to a specific recipe, consider taking a photo of the recipe pages you love (or want to try) and start a new album on your phone for recipes. Then, donate!

If the cookbooks are simply collecting dust, donate.

That's it for day two! Make sure you are posting in the group with your progress, no matter how small you think it may be. Baby steps and "small" wins are BIG wins in my book!
